Biografy

Fenna Bergsma (1991, Reduzum) received her Bachelor in Linguistics at the Rijksuniveristeit Groningen in 2013 and her Master in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam in 2015. She wrote her disseration at the Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany). It concerns how the internal structure of a word influences the grammaticality of a sentence. In her stydy, she compared free relative constructions and relative pronouns from different languages to each other. Fenna works since October 2021 as a linguistic researcher at the Fryske Akademy, where she investigates Frisian morphology and syntax.
