Inge Heslinga (Groningen, 1981) studied Literature (Arts, Culture and Media) at the University of Groningen. Her master research was about the conflicts between the generations of writers that published in the three most important Frisian literary magazines in the two decades after the Second World War. Her master thesis was titled 'Leave abonnee: Conflict tussen de Friese literaire tijdschriften De Tsjerne, Quatrebras en Asyl (1946-1968)' ('Dear reader: Conflict between the Frisian literary magazines De Tsjerne, Quatrebras en Asyl (1946-1968)' and was rewarded with the Fryske Akademy Skripsjepriis.

At the Fryske Akademy, Heslinga works as editor for the Mercator European Research Centre and supports the communication department. Earlier she worked as a subject librarian on Frisian History and Literature at the provincial historical centre Tresoar, as editor for a Frisian publisher and as project coordinator in Frisian popculture.
