Biografy

Hielke Vriesendorp has worked at the Fryske Akademy since June 2022, where he researchers subconscious attitudes to Frisian as well as Dutch spoken by Frisians, within the context of laboratory sociolinguistics. In 2021 he completed a PhD on the processing of the social meaning of linguistic variation at the University of Sheffield. He also works as a lecturer in the English department at Utrecht University and works on queer linguistics.
