By public transport
The Fryske Akademy is approximately a ten minutes walk from the Leeuwarden train and bus station. If you're taking a bus, the Akademy is best reached with city bus 36 towards Bilgaard (bus stop Boterhoek), or alternatively with city bus 12 towards NHL (bus stop Wissesdwinger).
By car
A parking lot is situated opposite the entrance of the Fryske Akademy at the Doelestraat. Here you can pay to park for up to two hours. There are several multi-storey car parks near the Akademy. The car park under Oldehoofdsterkerkhof square is less than a minute's walk from the Akademy.
