Blog post about the WikiWomen partner meeting in Donostia

From 26 June to 1 July, Frisian teachers and teacher supervisors - together with teachers from Ireland and the Basque Country - participated in a Wikipedia bootcamp. That was organised by the Erasmus+ project WikiWomen, in which the Mercator European Research Centre is partner. During the bootcamp, they learned the skills and gained the confidence to support their pupils (aged 15-18) at home in their (digital) writing skills, which the schoolchildren will soon be able to use themselves in the course of this project. In fact, in the spring of 2023 (27-31 March), these young people will be allowed to attend a Wikipedia bootcamp in Ireland.

On behalf of the the Mercator European Research Centre, our colleague Inge Heslinga joined the partner meeting. About this visit to Donostia / San Sebastian, project partner Galder Gonzalez from the Basque Wikipedia community wrote an interesting blog. It is in Basque, you can translate it easily via your own browser.
