Lecture professor Naomi Ellemers on organisational psychology (free entrance)

'How to organise fruitful cooperation? Interactions between people and the power of the situation'

At the invitation of the Fryske Akademy, Studium Generale and RuG/Campus Fryslân, professor Naomi Ellemers (University of Utrecht) will talk about fruitful cooperation in organisations on Thursday morning 1 September in Leeuwarden. You can attend the lecture for free.

How do you ensure that people are productive and work well together? It is often thought that it is especially important to select people who are industrious, dutiful and cooperative. Yet it turns out that these personal characteristics are by no means always the deciding factor. Because at work you see colleagues influencing each other and adapting to all kinds of unwritten rules. To fit in, they may do something completely different from what they had planned. How do you solve this? Naomi Ellemers shows how 'the power of the situation' influences people at work.
