Akademylêzingen 2/3, Leeuwarden (NL) and Joure (NL)

The Akademy Lectures is a series of six public lectures, in three days, spread over the winter season, organised in Leeuwarden and Joure.

Every year, the Akademy Lectures working group manages to organise an attractive series in cooperation with women's organisations in Fryslân.

The lecture series is held at two locations on the same day: De Koperen Tuin in Leeuwarden and It Haske in Joure. The topics are current, educational, scientific and general-societal themes, to which speakers can each contribute in their own way.

Program 2025-2026

The Academy Lectures will be held on three separate days: Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Friday, January 23, 2026, and Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The first lecture of the day will be held in the morning from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (with a coffee break and time for questions/discussion), and the second lecture will be held from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM (with a tea break and time for questions/discussion).

A ticket for the Academy Lectures grants admission to six lectures over three days, in Leeuwarden or Joure. It is not possible to purchase a ticket for a single lecture.
