Second Day of the Saterfriesen / Twäide Dai fon do Seelter

On 11 October, Roomelse/Ramsloh in Germany will host the second “Day of the Saterfriesen”. Nine speakers will give lectures on the Saterfriesen language and history. In between, there will be dance and music from the region.

The Day of the Saterfriesen is a joint project of the Seeltersk-Kontoor, it Seelter Buund and the Fryske Akademy. The first edition took place in 2023 and attracted 120 visitors. The event is made possible by the German Bundesbeauftragten für Kultur und Medien, the Niedersächsische Ministerium für Wissenschaft und Kultur and the municipality of Saterland.

The day includes lunch, coffee and tea.
