Biography
Martijn Kingma (1998, Leeuwarden) got a bachelor degree in Minorities & Multilingualism (2019) and a masters in linguistics (2021) at the university of Groningen. After working as a lexicographer at the Fryske Akademy for a while, he started a PhD in july of 2022 at the FA, in collaboration with the university of Amsterdam. His research focuses on variation and change in the Frisian vowel system. He uses a combination of sociolinguistics and fonetics.
