Presentation of new developments in the field of Frisian language and speech technology, demonstrations of ongoing projects, and discussions on opportunities for future collaboration.

Programme

The launch of FLARESlab will take place at Campus Fryslân (Wirdumerdijk 34, Leeuwarden).

  • 13:30 – 13:45: Doors open
  • 13:45 – 14:00: Official opening (Fryske Akademy, Campus Fryslân and Deputy Eke Folkerts)
  • 14:00 – 14:45: Introduction to FLARESlab.nl and project demonstrations
  • 14:45 – 15:00: Break
  • 15:00 – 16:00: Discussion on the future of Frisian language technology: minority languages, language solutions and AI
  • 16:00 Drinks reception

The languages spoken are Frisian, Dutch and English.
