Biografy

Since October 2021, Fenna Bergsma (1991, Reduzum) works as a linguistic researcher at the Fryske Akademy and investigates Frisian morphology and syntax. Bergsma received her Bachelor in Linguistics at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in 2013 and her Master in Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam in 2015. She wrote her dissertation at the Goethe University in Frankfurt (Germany), on how the internal structure of a word influences the grammaticality of a sentence. In her study, she compared free relative constructions and relative pronouns from different languages to each other.
