Fryslân thrives when people thrive. That is why educational and research institutions, entrepreneurs, public authorities and civil society organisations are joining forces under the Fryslân Education Agreement 2026–2030. Together, they are building talent, broad prosperity and a clean, healthy and happy Fryslân. By learning together, innovating together and taking responsibility together, education, research and innovation can be linked to the issues facing Fryslân. Not based on separate interests, but on a shared ambition and responsibility for the region.

The Fryske Akademy is one of the partners set to sign the agreement, alongside Firda, Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences, the University of Groningen, the Association of Frisian Municipalities, VNO-NCW/MKB Noord and others. Together, they form the Frysk Underwiisberied (Frisian Education Council), the administrative alliance behind the Fryslân Education Agreement.
