A group of Frisian-German linguists is conducting research into the Frisian language in the Netherlands and Northern Germany. The initial findings will be presented at the LiME conference.

Fenna Bergsma, Anne Merkuur, Suzanne Dekker, Eric Hoekstra, Wilbert Heeringa, Silke Oosterhof, Jildou Kooke, Lena Terhart, Thede Thieße, Kerrin Tadsen, Henk Wolf en Veronika Pugge, working for the Fryske Akademy, Nordfriisk Instituut and Seeltersk Kontoor, present their research in a presentation with the title ‘Morphosyntactic Variation, Language Contact, and Speaker Attitudes in the Frisian Languages’. About LiME

LiME (Linguistics @ MEertens) is a group of linguists connected to the Meertens Institute interested in exploring the internal and external limits on language variation. They focus on language varieties spoken in the Netherlands on the one hand, and on varieties of Dutch spoken around the world on the other. This includes dialects, sociolects, ethnolects, standard languages, heritage varieties, and animal-human interaction.
