Guest researcher Oebele Vries speaks about ancient border dispute of river Ems

Guest researcher Dr. Oebele Vries has been asked by Omrop Fryslân to talk about an ancient border dispute. The question is whether river Ems is Dutch or German territory. For 561 years, both countries cannot exactly agree on that. However, because of both gas extraction above Schiermonnikoog and the connection of large wind farms in the North Sea, this is a very topical issue. Natuurmonumenten comes to speak.
