Lecture Fryske Akademy at anniversary neighbours St Anthony's Gasthuis

The Fryske Akademy's neighbour, the St Anthony Gasthuis in Leeuwarden, is celebrating its 600th anniversary. Congratulations! To celebrate this special anniversary, a large number of events are being organised in and around the St. Anthony Gasthuis.

On Wednesday 5 February at 3pm, linguist Martijn Kingma of the Fryske Akademy and the University of Amsterdam has been invited to give a lecture on Frisian dialects. He will talk about how different the regions sound in Frisian and how Frisians themselves experience regional differences.

After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to take a tour of the Fryske Akademy building.
