Field trip with the Archaeological Working Group to the Huis van Hilde Archaeology Museum in Castricum
Join us on a field trip to the Huis van Hilde archaeology museum on 5 September 2026!
This trip is organised by the Archaeological Working Group. Huis van Hilde is the place to be for archaeology in North Holland. It consists of an archaeological repository and a museum. Through an intriguing collection of archaeological finds unearthed in North Holland, the museum tells the history of the province. From hammer axes from the Neolithic period to soldiers’ helmets from the Second World War; every find tells a story of a different era. In the museum, archaeological finds are made accessible to a wide audience. In the repository, the finds are examined for scientific purposes.
