On Friday 6 October 2023, the Linguistic Association of the Fryske Akademy is organising the Day of Frisian Linguistics for the twelfth time. The day is aimed at anyone who is directly or indirectly involved in the linguistics of Frisian: grammar, phonetics/phonology, nomenclature, lexicology, sociolinguistics, historical linguistics and more.
The conference programme is now online. In the morning, presentations will be made in two parallel sessions, followed by a plenary programme after lunch. The day will end with drinks and snacks at Café Neushoorn in Leeuwarden, where the launch of the new online magazine Frisistyk.nl will also take place.
The Day of Frisian Linguistics will be held at the Fryske Akademy building and will start at 09:30. You are of course welcome to attend the day. Admission is free. You can register by sending an e-mail to Dr Eric Hoekstra.
